San Diego and now

I'm sitting on my crazy Israeli friend's balcony taking advantage of his wireless service, while he works on his website and Liz, my couch-surfer (www.couchsurfer.com) snoozes on the balcony in the perfect fall weather. Well, not anymore... I woke her to take this photo...!)

After a long work week of report cards, it was great just to take it easy and enjoy some time with friends this weekend. Last night I drove an hour into the wilds of GA with a friend for a reunion of the folks that went to Israel with me this summer. It was so good to see old friends. The couple that hosted us cooked up a storm in their gorgeous, big house which over-looked the north Georgia mountains.

This morning, I got up and went for a long walk by myself, followed by a coffee and some reading about "process consulting" and "change management," a field of work a friend thinks would be a good fit for me. Later, I grabbed Liz and Aaron and we met up with some other friends/colleagues at Worldfest at my school. After gorging ourselves on home-cooked international food, we watched sky-divers land right on the soccer field, which was super-cool!

Here are my favorite pictures of San Diego from my trip a few weeks ago. Love, love, LOVE that city, even if it's on fire right now. It did me a world of good after being so sick with pneumonia for so long. I hope to go back and take surf lessons next year.
